Multiply Inspire Reward Programme

A couple of years ago Momentum terminated their rewards programme (Multiply Premier) which was a loyalty programme where clients were rewarded for the number of products that had with Momentum.

In its place Momentum introduced 3 separate rewards/discount programmes each focusing on one particular product and  which do not rely on members having to have other products with Momentum. These 3 rewards/discount programmes are as follows:

  • Multiply Inspire and Multiply Engage – which are focuses on Momentum medical aid
  • LifeReturns – for life insurance, offering up to 35% discount on life insurance products and
  • SafetyReturns – for short term insurance, offering up to 30% back on your short-term insurance premiums (this is independent to the no-claims bonus (Rewarder) and is not affected by any claims that you make.

Detailed of the LifeReturns and SafetyReturns rewards programme are covered in separate articles in this newsletter.

The Multiply Inspire programme is outlined below. Be sure to look out or the article on the Multiply Engage Programme in my next
newsletter.

Multiply Inspire

This programme applies to all medical plans except for Ingwe.

The programme is structured to pay additional cash into your HealthSaver (to assist in covering your day-to-day medical expenses) through earning

  • HealthReturns and
  • Cashbacks and discounts.

This programme is unique in South Africa and is probably the most cost-effective way of funding your day-to-day medical expenses. Having said that, it is a pity that many members do not probably engage with the programme and are therefore losing out on most of its benefits.

You may not be a fan of rewards programmes; however, applying a little time to understand how the programme works as well as some set up time will be well worth your while.

HealthReturns

HealthReturns are earned on a fixed as well as a variable basis.

By doing certain activities e.g. registering, completing the health questionnaire, your health assessment and your fitness assessment you automatically earn fixed monthly payments. As there are different levels, even you if you are not in good shape, you can still earn rewards.

Variable rewards are earned through Active Dayz and Recharge Dayz achieved as well as the Monthly Challenge. Through your Active Dayz and Recharge Dayz you can earn additional weekly wins and monthly wins.

The Monthly Challenge (which you specifically have to enter into) will compare your activity achievements to people of the same gender and age group as you thereby allowing you the best chance of maximising the amount that you earn.

Getting set up, and with a bit of engagement, should result in you earning R500 – R800 per month in HealthReturns, It is; however, possible to earn up to R1 500 per month.

Cashbacks and Discounts

Multiply have partnered with most of the large retailers e.g. Pick and Pay, Checkers, Woolworths, Makro, Boxer, Shoprite, Dischem, Clicks where you can earn up to 15% discount or cashbacks on your spend. Apart from these retailers you can also earn significant discounts on a range of products from other partners:

  • Travel partners including Emirates (40%) Qatar (30%), Airlink (25%), Flysair (30%), Lift (25%), Avis (4%)
  • Entertainment partners including NuMetro (60%), Booking.com (20%
  • Gym fees including Planet Fitness (50%), Virgin (40%)
  • Other retailers such as Garmin (40%), SportsSA (25%) and many more.

Your Health assessment and fitness assessments will determine the level of cashbacks and discounts you are able to earn.

Summary

As a member of the Evolve, Custom, Incentive, Extender and Summit plan you have a unique opportunity to benefit from the most lucrative reward programme based on your medical aid without you having to have other products as well.

Engaging with the programme will not only be financially rewarding but it will also have the positive spinoff of making you more aware of your health and fitness levels.
